He took a deep breath,
And then looked into her eyes,
Drew up all the courage,
Right the bottom of his heart,
And then he whispered,
‘I am in love with you,
Do you love me too?’
His Time Axis disintegrated the next moment,
Her silence seemed to be eternal,
The objects around ceased to exist,
His heart pounded against his chest,
Is it going to burst off?
And then her lips moved,
The response came through the air,
Touched his ears, reached his mind.
The world around him was alive again,
The travel through the time-hole was over,
The Time Axis reappeared,
The eternal wait was over,
All was normal once again.

Note:
While most writers tend to concentrate on the outcome of a proposal, the reactions for which may be either joy [image a flock of birds flying across the blue sky] or remorse [a tidal wave striking a rock on the shores], I wanted to instead concentrate on the moment that would precede any response: the tense, agonizing and often joyous wait that precedes the answer (both binary and fuzzy logic applies for the answer :D )
